An Evening of Kwagh-hir is an intimate immersive storytelling experience created by Wise Productions, a subsidiary of Wise Creations, dedicated to celebrating African stories, culture, and communal experiences.
Inspired by the Tiv expression “Kwagh-hir,” meaning “something magical,” the event brings together folklore, live storytelling, theatre, games, music, craft making, and audience interaction in a way that transforms storytelling from something watched into something lived.
The debut edition explores Yoruba and Igbo folklore through performances led by storytellers Patrick Diabuah and Titilayo Sanni, inviting guests into a carefully curated evening where imagination, memory, and culture meet.
Designed for a limited audience, the experience encourages closeness, participation, and genuine human connection, recreating the warmth of traditional communal storytelling while presenting it in a fresh contemporary format.
Created by Tobenna Amechi, CEO of Wise Creations, An Evening of Kwagh-hir is part of a broader vision to create and propagate original African stories while building immersive cultural experiences that can resonate with audiences both within and beyond Africa.
